Solarize Eugene Through Solarize Eugene, The Resource Innovation Group (TRIG) seeks to dramatically increase local residential solar electricity and hot water generation. This exciting new project is funded through an EWEB Greenpower grant and will give EWEB customers a simplified, cost-effective way to bring renewable energy to their homes.   Solarize Eugene will be a solar volume-purchasing project based on successful Solarize programs throughout Oregon. TRIG will engage community members as active participants in the project: pre-selecting the contractors, marketing a limited time offer, and providing the contractors with likely customers in a constricted geographic area. Like other “Solarize” programs statewide, Solarize Eugene will include a series of educational workshops for residents as well as a peer-to-peer marketing campaign. We expect that residents will in turn receive reduced prices for their solar installations thanks to contractor savings on marketing, customer education, and volume purchases of equipment.
